About Mysta Crooks

Rooted in Jamaica. Connecting through sound.

I’m Mysta Crooks—a Jamaican DJ, MC, producer, and creator based in Los Angeles. I started DJing and producing in 2003, shaped by Jamaica’s sound system culture and the music I grew up with.

Today, that same love of music and culture runs through my DJ sets, mixes, videos, and live streams. Whether I’m behind the decks or on camera, I bring people together through Jamaican sound, stories, and humor.

Selected stages

Coachella · Cali Vibes · Reggae on the River · ComplexCon · Hollywood Bowl, opening for Burna Boy

Beyond the decks

I also bring Jamaican culture to the table through Patty Daddy, my Los Angeles-based Jamaican patty brand.
